It's Beautiful Day in Cayce! [Upcoming Dates]


Good morning, friends and neighbors!

We have lots of events to share with you. Please mark your calendar for the following dates:

Avenues Association Events

Thursday, Sept. 18 - Avenues Association Body Meeting
6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of State Street Baptist Church.

Saturday, Sept. 20 - Cayce Quarry Tour
The Cayce Quarry has arranged for a group of our members to take a tour at 9 a.m. Because of the limited quantity of people allowed, sign-ups are required. Members, watch your emails for more details.

Tuesday, Oct. 7 - National Night Out
Traditionally, we've celebrated National Night Out on the Texas date. This year, we'll be having a neighborhood walk through the Avenues. Details to follow via email.

Cayce's Centennial Celebration

Friday, Sept. 5 - Concert at the Brickworks
Tokyo Joe will be playing. Gates open at 5 p.m. Parking will be in the Southern First lots, and overflow will go into Parkland Plaza. Bring a camp chair or blanket to sit on.

Saturday, Sept. 6 - Family Fun Day
Family Fun Day will be from 12-5 p.m. at Granby Gardens Park  (in front of City Hall). There will be a bounce house, water slide and face painting. The fire engine and Cinderella will be available for photos.

Sunday, Sept. 7 - Opening the Time Capsule
A time capsule was buried at the Cayce Historical Museum 25 years ago, and it will be opened on Sunday. A new capsule will be bird. There will also be birthday cake, lots of history of Cayce and people dressed in costume from Cayce's various historical events.

All Centennial Celebration events are free. Contact the City of Cayce for more details.

Congaree Blue Grass Festival

Saturday, Oct. 4 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Granby Garden's Park - Lots of a great bluegrass music, good food and family fun. This event is free and open to the public. Watch the Festival FB page for more details.

P.S. Carolina is playing their first home football game tonight. Kickoff is at 6 p.m., so be aware that that traffic will be heavy around the University all afternoon. Please plan accordingly if you have to be out and about.
